We spent a bit of time reading the reviews before heading here. Such a mixed bag of findings that we were not quite sure what to expect.
Well what we found was a very welcoming and friendly place. We were seated on a nice table for two which has plenty of space. We were left alone to take our time to look through the menu. After a bit they came to take a drink order, then went away again. When they brought the drinks they asked if we wanted poppadoms, we did, and then went away again. On bringing the poppadoms they asked if we were ready to order. All in all the service was perfectly timed and we neither felt rushed or neglected.
All the food was excellent, one of the best Indian meals we have eaten for quite some time. The poppadoms were so fresh I was eating them without chutney just to enjoy their flavour. Our main were so tasty, I had panneer which was lush.
Irish coffee at the end, we don't normally do this but we had enjoyed our meal so much it seemed to finish it all off nicely.
We ate before going to the theatre and we have decided when ever we are in the area we are going to eat here again.
Very tasty meal and a good experience. The staff warmed to us and gave us a brilliant experience. Fantastic food, I will definitely be coming back. Very reasonably priced and when a small mistake of an extra rice turned up on our table it was quickly rectified and given to us for free while we waited briefly for the right one. Incredibly nice staff. Noor tried his learned spanish with my mexican guests and we all had a great time. The after math.
I had tandoori sea bass with pilau rice. NB: that one was an hour to cook, but I had time) Service was good, food was reasonably priced. I went on Thursday at 7pm. Full of city types.
